What a sentimental day for our players, coaches and parents – the last Primary soccer game in the Central Region roster to which we've belonged for the past 6 or 7 years.
Throughout that time, there's been a core group of around five players who've been there from the start, as well as other players who've come and gone each season. We’ve also had three coaches and lots of support from parents. Thanks!
And what was our last game like? Well it was a real contest, fast-paced and evenly matched, with both teams showing good skills.Friends benefited from having two fine goalkeepers, with good teamwork from their mix of grade 5 and 6 players.
Cory says our West Hobart team has been a pleasure to coach for the past two years. He'd like all the girls to thank their parents, drivers, cheer squad, soccer boot scrapers, uniform washers, orange providers, scorers, umpires, subber-on of players, roster checkers, etc, etc, (and the lone blogger).
From us, a huge thanks to Cory for all his time and patience with the girls who had lots of fun and a very successful season…….
